My first job. Six long years or so it seemed. That was over twenty years ago.
It wasn't just a job it was an adventure. Underway underwater all the time. 2000 is the year of the Submarine Centennial. There are only two kinds of ships submarines and targets.

First fulltime job after graduating. The adventure continued and lasted over 15 years.
After 15 years living in 5 states, working at three reactor sites, two Regional Offices, and Headquarters I got a little bored. Now I'm at NASA ending a chapter in the life of two research reactors. Then who knows what, maybe space the final frontier. I started out with under water nuclear power came to the land. Everything from starting them up to cleaning them up. Maybe someday the adventure will continue again. Putting them up in space might be the next step. Right now SAFE Decommissioning is Job 1.
